TIBET (July 2006)
Traveling is something I have always wanted to do more of but have never had
the time nor money. Now that I have both (sort of), I decide to jump in and go
Tibet. Not exactly the typical first choice for international travel, but then
again, it's exactly my typical first choice. I have been studying Buddhism off
and on for the past twelve years, so Tibet is a country familiar to me. I've
also been in a transition phase for the past year-and-a-half and this seems like
the place I need to be.
I spend the week before the trip getting everything ready and saying
my farewells. I promise a lot of people lots of photographs and I plan
on returning with as many as I can. This will be my first trip using
a digital camera, but I have had it long enough to have gotten accustomed
to it. I'm also only going to shoot in color, which is something new for me.
All my goodbyes said
Now off into the unknown
Summer full of haze
